Icon Gym is an official Carlson Gracie Academy, under an affiliation through Marcelo Alonso Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Seattle, WA. Marcelo is a four stripe black belt with over thirty years teaching and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, throughout Brazil, the Western United States, and beyond. Marcelo has a very active competition team, and they routinely win many of the Seatle and Portland area grappling events. Icon Gym is also an affiliate school of the Thai Boxing Association of the USA, under the guidance of Ajarn Steve Wilson. Ajarn Steve, also known as "Chambok," is the highest ranking American Thai Boxing practioner licensed by the Royal Kingdom of Thailand to teach and promote their national sport of Muay Thai. One of the members that grant this authority to Ajarn Steve is none other than Daniely Inosanto, long-time protege of Bruce Lee.
