10.10.09 Icon Gym represented at our first Icon Invitational grappling tourney. We came home in second overall, losing a close team title by 5 points to friendly rivals Hit Pit/10th Planet Spokane. Third place went to Legacy MMA from Post Falls, and they only missed second by one-half of a point! Great job this weekend to everyone that competed!

9.25.09 Matt Williams made his professional debut against the tough Carmen Cassella from Sik Jitsu at the inaugural Arena Rumble even at the Spokane Arena. Matt had an entertaining fight and, while he didn't earn the win, he did earn a ton of respect.

7.25.09 Spokane Fairgrounds played host to the 100 Years of Motorcycles event, and Rick Little of Excite Fight put together another great show. Neil Woodard and Ryan Mulvahil both had tough fights this weekend, with Neil losing a close decision to drop to 3-3 and Ryan winning by rear-naked choke late in the third round, improving to 4-0.
